Who is responsible

SW Trader Mentoring ("SWTM", "we", "us"), operating www.swtm.eu and academy.swtm.eu. Contact: message us on Whop.

What we collect, and why

The launch list

When you leave your email address to hear when the Academy opens, we store that address, the moment you signed up, the page you used, and a shortened one-way code derived from your internet address (to stop abuse; it cannot be turned back into the address). We use it to send you the launch message. Basis: your consent. Every message has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw at any time. We delete the list three months after the launch.

Your Academy account

When you buy access to the SWTM Academy, our payment provider tells us your email address and that your purchase is valid, and we create your account. We store your email address, a scrambled version of your password (we cannot read it), when you signed in, your progress through the lessons and videos, your exam attempts and scores, and the name you choose for your certificates. If you sign in with Whop, Whop also tells us your Whop user ID and email address, and we check that your membership is active. Basis: performing our contract with you. We keep this for as long as you have an account and up to twelve months after access ends, so it is still there if you come back; after that, or earlier if you ask, we delete it.

Payments

Academy access and the mentorship are sold through Whop; the SWTM Levels indicator through Paddle, which acts as the seller. They process your payment details; we never see your card. From them we receive your email address, what you bought and whether it is active. Their own privacy policies apply to what they do.

Emails we send

Account emails (your welcome email, password links), the launch message and our news for people who are or were SWTM members on Whop are sent through Resend, an email delivery service. It receives your email address and the message, only to deliver it. Every news email has an unsubscribe link. Basis for news to members: our legitimate interest in telling our customers about SWTM.

The Discord community

The SWTM Discord server is free to join. If you connect Discord to your Whop membership, we use your Discord account to give you the right roles, such as access to the course channels. Discord's own privacy policy applies to Discord.

Server logs

Like every website, our server records requests: internet address, time, page and browser type. We use this for security and to fix problems, and the logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

Cookies and local storage

We use no advertising or analytics cookies. The Academy sets one cookie to keep you signed in; it is necessary for the service. Your browser also remembers a few things locally (for example that you already saw the promo film, or where you stopped in a video); these never leave your device.

Our pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers to fetch them.

Where your data is

Our server is in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (OVH). Some of the services above (Whop, Resend, Discord, Google, Paddle) are based outside the European Union, mainly in the United States; transfers to them rely on the safeguards those companies provide, such as the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format. Message us on Whop from the account you use with us; we answer within one month. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If we change how we use your data, we update this page and the date at the top. For important changes we tell Academy members by email.
